Iowa Starting Line/Daily Democrat Merger Creates Iowa’s Largest Progressive News Site

Iowa Starting Line, a website with breaking news, in-depth analysis, & general coverage of Iowa Caucus & Iowa political news, has merged with the Iowa Daily Democrat to create the largest progressive/Democratic-leaning news site in the state. Des Moines FM host Chance Dorland spoke with Iowa Starting Line founder Pat Rynard about the merger & how the staff of both websites had decided to pull their resources together to continue providing unique insight & analysis of Iowa politics. The merger has already been successfully enacted with new content from the Iowa Daily Democrat appearing on Iowa Starting Line’s website while the Daily Democrat continues to release its newsletter each day. Pat Rynard says the merger will allow staff from both the Iowa Starting Line & the Iowa Daily Democrat to cover more issues & also creates additional opportunities for guest posts & other ways for more people to get involved.
